Success is not luck but loads of hard work from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I love that we all have some wonderful memories! Of living on the farm, living in Montreal, and so many more! I would still be living in Montreal and having a very different life, but alas, because of the political scene and the job situation, I live here. I resisted and turned down a transfer to Toronto MULTIPLE times, then changed companies, and within a year I was asked to move, so I caved and moved. No regrets, but I do miss Montreal!

I'm happy to report that the presentation went off very well! About 15 minutes before, I ...

AI is NOT helping the Maker Space from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

A reminder: if anyone wants to join the second session for Making Scrap Quilts Beautiful, hosted by Thimbles and Things (taught by me), a second class has been opened, and it is filling fast! I wouldn't wait if you are considering joining. That class starts on September 20. You can get all the details at this link. The class is ONLINE, so anyone from anywhere can join!

I gave the first session a wee bit of homework yesterday, and I'm seeing some pretty interesting quilts!

I am back in work mode - at least for yesterday! It's funny ...

Out with the old and in with the new (electrical) Part Two from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Every day is a new day! I think that was what Alex and Ricky say at the end of every episode of The Quilt Show, and it's true! So much is happening, and some days I don't even know where to start.

I walked to the grocery store and on my way back, my phone started pinging in my pocket. PING PING PING PING. There were so many pings I decided I needed to stop to see what the heck was going on. It was M, alerting me to something extremely creepy, yet extremely hilarious.

I had set ...

Alexa saves the day!!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

So I was buzzing around the house trying to finish off the laundry, including making the guest bed, putting clothes away, and folding towels. Mission accomplished. I managed to get the filter and pump cleaned in the pond, and decided that the water level was a bit low, so I grabbed the hose and let the water run. I set a 30-minute timer (Alexa - the only thing we use it for in our house). Murphy had already been walked, but Lexi needed a walk, so after the cleaning crew arrived, I took her out for a thirty-minute walk.

When I ...

Finding lost things! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Your comments make me chuckle. I'm not the only one who wakes up angry from a dream! Although lately, no dreams. I'm not sure what those couple of nights were all about!

And YES -- I'm up for that hike! I'll get in touch! WOW --- just looked it up - sounds like a load of fun!

And I need to get back to responding individually to the comments!

The writing is done. OK - that's a lie. I'm in the process of sending the last set of videos, and then I have one small document to write ...

AI Failure from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

OK -- I'm up for trying new things. And there was something that I have wanted to do for a long time, and last night, I decided it was a perfect job for AI. However, I'm sad to report that the job it did was dismal. A total failure, and it was an easy job.

What's the job? I have written MANY posts for QUILTsocial.com over the last 11 years. By my count, there are close to 400 posts. Yep -- that's a lot of posts. I use many of them in my teachings, and I sometimes ...

Artificial Intelligence from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

There are a couple of things to clear before I start on today's topic.

1. The USB stick --- good grief - this was a challenge, and it was only when someone sent me a picture of how it opened that I got it! DUH!!! There are days when I wonder how I make anything happen, and then there are days when I amaze myself with my creativity! Oh shoot -- I didn't take a picture of how it opens, but the ENTIRE top of that white square turns, causing the connector to pop out. There were little arrows on the ...

Lost pets from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

AH --- Artificial Intelligence for writing! Yes -- it's been suggested, from multiple sources, that I use it to help generate my presentations. Well, I'd have to be a whole lot more organized!

Here's what happens when I'm working. I start with a blank page—well, not always. Sometimes, I recycle slides from other presentations. I do that a lot, and since I'm not always sure where the particular pictures I want are, how the heck would I tell a computer where to find them?

Then, I may take six pictures and load them. In what order ...

Computer aided technology - for or against? from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I now have the distribution list for Spice Market organized, and I can send the information today. However, I have one slight problem. Someone sent me money, but I need their email address. So, if your banking name is Anne James, please email me, as I don't know how to send you information. elainetheriault@gmail.com

It was a huge task to get organized, and now I'm getting back to work on the presentations. Four of them need to be done by Saturday morning, and NONE of them are complete! However, two of them are in good shape ...
